How do you handle lien waivers?

We collect a notarized lien waiver from the SubContractor in the purchase amount.  We default to an AIA format lien waiver and give the Subcontractor the ability to have it notarized online, or they can provide their own lien waiver, have it notarized, and upload it to our system.

What if my subcontractor doesn't want to sell the invoice?

Then there is nothing we can do for that invoice.  It is entirely up to the Sub if they want to sell.

How long are your payment terms?

Our payment terms are up to 6 months, with discounts/penalties that are calendar-dependent.

Can we use BRIX on a project with a shared savings (CM) contract?

BRIX can be used on any project, we can set up the relationship such that you do not violate your CM contract.

Is BRIX only for GCs or can other service providers who hold subcontractors sign up?

Currently, BRIX is just for GC’s. In the future, we may expand our business to other service providers. Check back here, and contact us for further information.

Does BRIX work across all construction sectors?

Yes.

How does BRIX Funding differ from traditional bank loans?

BRIX is an immediate cash flow solution, it is not a loan and does not require underwriting or do any credit checks on subcontractors. Subcontractors never have to repay any money to BRIX.

What types of businesses are eligible for BRIX funding?

Any company operating in the built environment industry holding contracts can partner with BRIX, and any company that is subcontracted by an organization with a service agreement with BRIX can benefit from BRIX Funding.

How quickly can subcontractors receive funding?

Once all documents have been uploaded and the general contractor has approved the funding, the subcontractor can receive funds in as little as 24 hours.

Are there any restrictions on how I can use the funds from BRIX?

No.

What documentation do subcontractors need to provide to get their invoices funded?

Subcontractors need a W9 and a voided check to begin the process.

What are the repayment terms for BRIX funding?

Repayment time to BRIX by the general contractor is 90 days.

Is there a minimum or maximum funding amount available through BRIX?

Minimum funding is $10,000 and maximum funding is based upon the General Contractor service agreement.

Can I apply for BRIX funding if my company has less-than-perfect credit?

Any company that holds contracts can apply for BRIX Funding.

How does BRIX determine the funding amount for each client?

Your BRIX account manager will work with your financial team to discover the solution that works best for your company.
